Hi Everyone. Just had a quick question and thought I might throw it out there. I just completed a pretty large project for a customer. It's one time deal, but he sent me an email afterward saying some really nice things about the job I did. I thought it would be perfect to post as a testimonial on my website. Are there any rules or etiquette as far as this is concerned? Can I just cut and paste what he wrote and put it on my site, with maybe just his first name or something or do I need to contact him and ask his permission first? Basically I'm just wondering if there's some kind of protocol for testimonial postings on websites?
Thanks,

Hey Marta,

Definitely get his permission and I would even get it in writing, an email will probably be fine.
You might even consider giving him a link back to his site (if appropriate) in his testimonial.

It is getting there, slowly but surely. We are going to meet and discuss tomorrow morning to finalize it and make any changes necessary. There are still things I want to add and such. Thanks Denise, will let you know when it is up and running. Have a great evening..............Deb
