I have a separate "business" that I am setting up to assist home owners and attendees to an annual (HUGE) event that takes place each year in Oshkosh (EAA / Air Venture).
I want to send a mailing to local residents informing them of this new place to advertise (instead of just Craigslist or other similar sites).
Does anyone know where I could purchase an inexpensive mailing list that is local for me?

Salesgenie is a really good source. They will even let you try 100 leads for free. I've gotten some really good feedback using this service.

I did something similar recently and used http://24-7pressrelease.com/ and issued a press release.
It is a free service and you can target a region and even city if it is beg enough.
Just use the keywords you want to get picked up for in the release.
This might even get picked up by local newspapers/web sites.
