Discover virtual entrepreneurship by building a career using skills you already have.

We're working on several new templates and would love to connect with some virtual assistants who would be interested in trying them out and giving us feedback. If you're interested, please let me know. I can be reached at jschramm@proresource.com.

Here's some more info...
Our company sells a Help Without Hiring Toolkit that has 50+ templates, checklists and worksheets that make it easier for business owners to outsource work to virtual assistants and freelancers.

There's more info about the toolkit here:
www.proresource.com/help-without-hiring-toolkit.html

One of the most popular sections of the toolkit is the Easy Projects section, where we have instructions for projects that can be easily outsourced to a virtual assistant.

We've got plans to add about 20 projects in 2010. I'd like to find some virtual assistants who don't know me and haven't worked with us before to try out the worksheets and instructions - just so we're quite sure they can work for any business.

Most of the projects are marketing-related. So if you're a virtual assistant who does marketing types of projects for your clients (or would like to start) and you'd be willing to test out some of our new templates, I'd love to hear from you.

Thanks!

Judy

The 'toolkit' is packed with amazing resources, Judy!

Two thoughts:
1) I'd love to help test the market but you will get quicker feedback from multi-VA businesses (I am single).
2) The product is marketed to business owners; however, I wonder if you have considered marketing this to VAs with freedom to customize and utilize for our own communications with our clients.

Thank you for putting together this package in support of the Virtual Assistant industry!

Thank you so much, Michele!

I'll be in touch next week with info about the new templates.

We do have some multi-VA businesses testing but I'd like to have single VAs too, as the businesses are run differently and I'd like to make sure the instructions work for everyone.

I've heard from a few people now that we should market the toolkit to VAs. I agree that it makes sense - I'll talk to my team and we'll probably start working on that shortly.

The toolkit is already set up so the templates can be easily customized (you get them in Word or Excel) - it's just a matter of putting your own company name and logo into the header and footer.

Anyway, thank you again - I'll look forward to getting more feedback from you!

Happy New Year!

Hi Judy,
I'd love to give them a try as well. My VA business is primarily geared toward writing: blog content, articles, ghostwriting, web content, life writing, etc....would those templates still work? Thanks!
Deb :)
Hi Deb,

Thank you so much for offering!

Yes, some of the templates would be appropriate for you.

One of the things you might do for clients is craft their own personal versions of the drafts that are included in some of the templates.

For example, one of the templates I'm working on now is Recapturing Customers. It includes drafts of letters that a virtual assistant can send out on behalf of a client to try to bring back inactive customers. You could customize and rewrite those for each of your clients.

Another example is our Nurture Marketing template (which is already in the toolkit). You could create content (like educational articles) that your clients could use in a nurture marketing program. It would give them another project to hire you for.

In the next couple days I'll send you a list of the templates I'm working on. You can pick any of them to test out (and just ignore those that aren't a good fit).

If that would work for you, could you send me your email? I'm at jschramm@proresource.com.

What a wonderful topic to concentrate on.

A couple things about my busienss, I'm a subcontractor and having templates to track who I'm contracting for would be helpful, I also connect subs & contractors if I have to much on my plate I like to refer, I have a podcast series on software I'd love a good way to track the software that's been discussed, affiliate marketing is what I'm getting into for 2010 a check list would be great to market the products.

If you need feedback on the templates I'm available.
Thank you so much, Collette! I'll add you to the list of people who have offered to test.

I'd love to get your feedback when we update our software tools list (that's one of the templates in the toolkit).

For tracking subcontractors and clients I would recommend using a software package rather than a template, particularly because that's an area of expertise for you.

The one I like best is www.myclientspot.com. The basic level is free. In fact, that might be an interesting product to feature in your podcast series. You can use it with both clients and subcontractors.

For tracking the software you blog about, I would guess something in Excel might be best, but I'm not entirely sure what you have in mind.

We don't have a template for affiliate marketing in the works yet, but that's a great idea.

Thank you so much!

Hi Mohan,

Thank you so much for replying and asking about these templates!

The closest we have right now to what you are looking for is status report templates.

It sounds like you are looking for project management software - there are a lot of excellent software tools that can help you with this. I can recomment www.myclientspot.com, www.basecamphq.com, www.proworkflow.com, and www.teamhost.com.

You can find more in this comparison chart on Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_project_management_software

If there are specific things you would like in a template that you think others would benefit from, I'd love to hear them. We might be able to create a template that would work for you (that we could add to our toolkit so others can take advantage of it too).

Take care,
