Discover virtual entrepreneurship by building a career using skills you already have.

Think big and take a proactive stand in your virtual career!

In 2003, I took my virtual executive firm to the next level and began contracting individuals who were new to the virtual environment but highly skilled (or so they would say) to work as a team associate. The applicant was required to complete three projects before I would consider them for a co-associate spot. These projects ranged from website development to data entry. The objective was to evaluate the individual's skill set, work ethics, and performance.

The results were not always pleasant. The majority of the time I ended up correcting the work that was coming in and mending customer relations because of an individual's actions. It frustrated me to no end. I could not figure out why the VAs I contracted were letting me down. Then one day it hit me - They knew how to provide a service, but they knew very little about virtual customer service or retaining customer relations.

In March of 2009, I launched The Certified Virtual Professional's Success Toolkit program website (http://www.certifiedvp-successtoolkit.com). This success toolkit compliments the CVP Level #1 professional certification program as it gives you the information and tools you need to work successfully in your virtual career. Plus in addition to the Directory Database CD, Business Forms & Contracts CD, you receive the Certified Seal of Professionalism & the CertifiedVP Business Ethics Seal.

This combined with my Mentoring 2 Success Workshops you will be well on your way to building your business road map to success. So check it out. I welcome any feedback on the site you can give me.

Diane,

I have to agree with your discussion points. There is a huge difference between working for an employer and being a virtual professional.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

By the way if you go to the home page (http://www.certifiedvp-successtoolkit.com) and put in your name and email address, the page will take you to my sales page and you will receive 2 FREE REPORTS.

1) How to Charge for Your Virtual Services
2) Important Key Elements to Registering Your Business

I think once you read the sales page you will have a better understanding how this toolkit works.

I really am anxious to receive your feedback whether it be good or bad. I figure that I can even learn from negative responses.

I look forward to hearing from you.
Hi Diane,

I wanna share my experience here. I understand the situation you mentioned, for I once hired a virtual assistant in China to work for me. It was really nice. They kept in touch with me to check if they were on the right track according to my requirements.
Thank you for sharing. Did the provider from China have the skills you expected? The issue I had was that the providers I hired did not.
