Is it me or are others getting frustrated with bidding and winning. The first issue I have is what and how many places there are to bid on. I know Elance is one. Are there others? Another big one is do I send over a Q&A to create a proposal? If others having the same problems and others could reassure me they too are having the same issues I'd really appreciate. Also if there are things that you have problems with share them in case I may be missing the boat.

Collette, I just read a post this morning on another list about Elance. You might want to check this out. It was just posted on "The Washington Post."

Here is the link:

It looks like if you didn't receive notification from them, then your
information may not have been compromised.

Also, as a rule, I generally don't post at any of these bid places. There are competing businesses on there that charge ridiculously low prices that always win the jobs for that reason. I am focusing my efforts in the areas of RFPs at the different VA forums and word of mouth through social networking and the local BNI group. As an FYI, the local BNI group has really done us well for the investment. Hope this helps!
Any time you enter the arena of 'bidding', price becomes the primary concern for whoever's awarding the 'bid.'

Never ever make money the primary concern on either side of the relationship. Places like Elance are for folks who value money over quality, relationships, and sustainable business.

Make personal connections. Don't burn your valuable time bidding on jobs; build a marketing plan that gets *them* to come to *you*
