In Simple Terms, Explain Trackbacks
It's amazing how many things I have caught onto and trained myself to do. It's also amazing how some things just don't click. I must admit trackbacks is one of them.
Would someone kindly explain what they are and how they work? It seems to be a feature on a lot of forums. Are there other places it is helpful to use also?

Anytime your website is linked from another website, that's a trackback. It can be very useful - as long as it's being linked from a related website. So for example, as a VA, you don't necessarily want your website linked from a website about auto repair - that's not relevant. However, having a trackback from forums such as this one or other VA related sites is a very good thing.
