Does anyone have a contract they would be willing to share that they have their subcontractors sign regarding confidentiality, no compete clause, etc. when working with your clients?  I have hired 3 subcontractors and while they don't have direct contact with my clients at this time, I want to have them sign a contract stipulating wages, no compete clause, etc.  Thanks in advance!

Our sub-contracting contract doesn't include a non-compete clause because it shouldn't have to.

If you trust your sub-contractors, they'll never go behind your back and steal a client. If they'd do that, they're not gonna worry about a contract; I mean, really, if someone violated that clause, would you waste the time taking them to court? I doubt it. You'd just write them off and move on. You can do that without a contract, right?

Assume trust. Work with someone you don't need to hog-tie with a legal document.

You've got quite a network here you could get recommendations from. My wife Sue has contacts in nearly every aspect of the VA world, and I have contacts in virtually every aspect of technology. We stand behind our recommendations as if we did the work ourselves, and we provide referrals at no cost because we also think money pollutes the referral process.

Feel free to mention what you might need from subs, and I'll bet you can find someone you'll never need a contract with.
Joel,

Good points -- I think I'll limit my contract to confidentiality and things that benefit my clients. In the end, if the client chose to go with my subcontractor, I can't stop that anyway, can I?

I appreciate your time.
