Discover virtual entrepreneurship by building a career using skills you already have.

Let's start a thread here posting reviews of helpful products we've used. Perhaps an online tool that's been useful in your business or another tool that's helped a client. I'm looking forward to seeing your reviews, comments, and suggestions.

I can NOT live without my second monitor. I can drag directions to it instead of printing them out, I can have my email inbox open on it to watch for incoming email while I am doing other stuff on the computer, or I can have a document's original version open on it while I am editing it on my first screen. It makes my life so much easier, its convenient, its green and I save money. Its the best $20 I ever spent. I found it on craigslist. I might even have to get another one...LOL.
I refuse to register a domain name with anyone but DomainSite because they include Google Apps with the domain name, free. That means, financially, a $50 service included free with my $9 domain name.

It means, technically, no more spam. Virtually zero, after years of getting thousands of spams a DAY.
I guess you are referring to Postini. It is a great little tool when you know how to configure it right it will work wonders for you.
Thanks for that one. Great to know.
I have found several things that have become quite useful to me in my businesses I have included the links to the websites so that you can see for yourself, instead of taking my word. These are all bits and pieces that I use on a daily basis.

www.efficientdiary.com this has so many useful things and ways that it's hard to be without it ever.
www.nchsoftware.com/timesheet/index.html This is a timesheet that you set up for your business, keeps track and send to clients directly from the program
www.ivisit.com/products_presenter This is for making conference calls Awesome!

These are all tools that I work with everyday and I could not imagine my life without them. They really save me time and money.
I have just located another absolutely wonderful asset for us to be able to use. Please visit this website https://www.dropbox.com/referrals/NTg2OTA4NzU5

Oh, how many times I have wished I had certain files with me, now I can get them anytime, anyplace without a hassle. This is wonderful!! Where has it been all my life?
I am in search of a web based application that provides time management, time tracking, project management, timesheet and reporting. Any ideas or suggestions. Everything I have looked at so far either lacks the most critical component or you is not web based since you have to download something to your computer.

Great idea Sue. Lots of good information getting posted! Thanks so much.
I don't know how I ever got along before I discovered roboform! I LOVE it.

It's a very secure password manager and form filler and shaves a lot of time off my day. I keep all of my own passwords, as well as my clients this way.

It's a more advanced tool, but for virtual workers, having the ability to no longer be tied to a single computer could be fantastic.

We just moved all the information from our network to Amazon's Simple Storage Service. It's going to cost under $10US/month to securely store all the data that was on our local computers. It's online file storage which you can access using simple 'explorer' type tools.

Now, we can access it from anywhere in the world there's an internet connection. Perhaps now we'll go travel the world.
Ahhh...cloud computing. I've been reading a lot about this lately but didn't realize it could be so inexpensive! Awesome resource Joel.
