Hi,

I am new to the Virtual scene. Not new to doing it but new to having to promote myself. I worked as a VA for 1 main office for 6 years and have taken care of any extra workload for another VA, email support, web research, etc.

I am flexible with my hourly rate and would like to build my portfolio. I have 2 small children and live in Ontario, Canada. We were hit pretty hard with the General Motors layoff.

So any help with what I need to do next would be greatly appreciated. Or if you have an overload of work and need a reliable VA, I can help.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Sheila Willis

Hi Denise,
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I was just going through my account and saw this now. I enjoy a wide range of things. I was a personal assistant to the President of one of the companies I worked for soon moving to Manager of Support Services, I dealt with customer service, setting appointments, training, creating emails, replying to emails, researching over the internet, training clients on bookkeeping, helping with computer issues, trouble shooting, updating blogs, sending out mass emails including newsletters, fliers, reviewing client files updating clients, reminders, CRM updates, keeping track of clients, reviewing website stats, financial records, creating and sending reports...etc. I am pretty confident in all different types of computer software, or specialized company programs. I learn very quickly and with that am able to teach others how to use it by making it as simple as possible for them. So many to list.

Sincerely,

Sheila Willis
Hi to all! I am a 'newbie' to this site and would greatly appreciate any feedback/input that I can get.
I have been providing virtual assistant to someone based in Germany. This person has been paying small amounts since I started in 2007, but has accrued quite a large 'balance due' to me. I keep getting told that they're waiting for payment on their end, but I see 'bits & pieces' of payments. I have not been providing services for the past month; stating that I would not do any more work until a substantial payment is made.
I have since been checking websites such as Elance & Guru, but have been quite disappointed as there as hundreds of people seeking this type of work.... most with no experience.
How &/or what is the best way to find work in the U.S.? I've got a very limited budget & cannot afford to advertise or anything of this nature~
Also, is there a 'best way' to collect all $$ due to me from someone in Germany?
Thank you and I look forward to your comments/advice.
