I am so excited! The Virtual Career Training (VCT) Program has been approved by Utica Community Schools Training & Development Center for their Winter/Spring semester. This means, I will be instructing on campus.

And by their recommendation - I am planning to offer the same program through Michigan Works (Government agency that helps the unemployed learn new career skills).

What sets the VCT program above other VA programs is that it is an authentic "professional certification" program, which is sponsored through Hess Business Professionals & Associates LLC. The participants in this program not only receive the Certified Virtual Professional's Success Toolkit, but hands-on training and an opportunity to experience what it is like to work virtually as one of my Virtual Business Associates.

In addition - I don't know of any other VA program that claims to be certified to actually invite you in to work with them when you're done with their program. Do you?
Congratulations, Diane!

Other than the Virtual Assistant Certificate course at Red Deer college in Canada, Virtual Career Training in a classroom setting is not something I have seen in my research when starting out a few years ago - every training I have seen is 'virtual' - go figure!

And no - I have not seen a training or certification program that invites the new VA in as an associate.

Wishing you great success!

Thanks Michele for the words of encouragement!

There is a big difference in the certification programs you see online and this program. The others are not "professional certification" programs. They are nothing more than a "certificate" program. Not too many people know the difference.

If you do a Google search for the term professional certification, you'll see that to qualify for such it needs to be presented by an official (registered) business and those participating receive ongoing support from that company.

AND this is not limited to just the VA. It is offered to anyone who is in the Virtual Industry that wants to gain an understanding of starting an online business, receive recognition through association for their business accomplishments. The list goes on... Again thanks...
