Hey guys: I just posted this article a friend of mine wrote on my blog. I think it is worth checking out when you have time. It discusses how to get one-way text links back to your website and why that is important to your overall SEO strategy.

Hey Deb,

Cool glad that helped. You can blog about anything really. It makes sense to blog about your business if you are trying to create business opportunities. Otherwise just blog about something your passionate about. It's not uncommon for blogs to mix the two either. You can separate your blog posts with categories too. I would just start by blogging about whatever comes to mind. That will help you get into a routine. You can always adjust your approach once the routine is established.

Jason, that makes so much sense! You are awesome and I so appreciate you taking the time to go into so much details. I will get to work on that and see what happens. One more quick question; does it matter what I blog about and if not I just need to work it like you have explained, or should I try to blog about my business? Thanks again, you are the best!

Hi Deb,

That list is kind of confusing now that I read it so lets break it down. You mention blogging so lets start with that. I chose the keywords Social, Bookmark, Website and Blog strategically because I know those keywords are searched for often. Furthermore people often search for "lists" of things so that is another element to choosing the keywords.

To determin keywords I use www.Google.com/keywords

The first thing you are going to create for your blog post is a title. The title of your blog post is very important. Your title will play a big part in determining how well that specific blog post will perform in the search engines, like Google.

The key to the title will be targeted keywords. Targeted keywords are essential. For example: the title of my blog post on September 30th is "List of 125 Social Bookmarks to Submit Your Website/Blog to".

So research your keywords well.

Second, use those same keywords again in the opening sentence and again at least three times in that first paragraph. Keep in mind your first paragraph should be solid too, at least 6 sentences.

Working keywords into your posts will make them dense. Being dense gives them weight. Having weight makes them relevant and relevant websites get traffic sent to them by search engines.

Now once you have created a blog post and published it, you'll want to blast it.

Think of these social bookmark sites as houses on your paper route and you need to deliver content to them. Furthermore they like there content early. ;)

So you'll need to crate an account with each one of these social bookmarking websites I list and then proceed to bookmark your site within your account. It's the same concept as bookmarking a website on your home computer. Your just saving it to a different community. Instead of Yahoo! it's Digg, Faves or SPHINN etc...

Does that makes sense? I'll keep adding to this post too as I think of additional ways to elaborate.

Hey Jason,
So exactly how do I blast my newly built website out there. That list you have, I guess I just dont quite understand how that works. If I blog, how do I submit it to those sites? And, does it matter what I blog about? Thanks so much for your help!

Google just finished a round of updates. So, your website should have have increased its Page Rank and amount of links etc...

Might want to pay attention to your site and how it performs over the next 5-7 days.

You might notice you are coming in search results for more or less keywords, getting more links, or showing more pages in the search engines.

Just a little heads up to the F.V Crowd.
