QuickBooks Pro '09 Online Payroll Question (Basic Version)

Hello Virtual Bookkeepers. I have a quick question, and it may be a simple one (I hope). Is the QB' 09 online (basic) payroll service transferrable to another file (same client)? In other words, I set up one of my client's books on my computer and he later disclosed that he purchased the QB online payroll service and set it up on his computer under a separate file name. Would I be able to bring (transfer) the online service onto my file, so that we only manage one set of books? Please let me know your thoughts.

I don't think the online service is compatible with regular QuickBooks, but you might be able to get a better answer at one of the QuickBooks forums. Try www.forums.quickbooksusers.com

Hi Collette/Rebecka. Intuit would have been able to merge the two files for me. In the interest of time (and to avoid the hassle), I decided to re-input data, which actually didn't take me long at all. BTW - I love the Intuit Community Forum! I try to set aside some time each week to go exploring and learning ways to resolve challenges. Thanks so much for checking in :-)
