I market in a couple of ways - I use my blog, I network on Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook, and I comment on law blogs appropriately. I hope this gains me some name recognition and eventually some clients! I need to do more, but am figuring things out as I go.
Thanks for the reply Laurie. I am networking on those sites as well. What is your id name on Facebook and LinkedIn, so I can add you on my profile?
Oh and of course I am posting on the NAVLA forum, which will soon have an RFP system in place to connect lawyers with virtual legal assistants!!
Julia,

To market my business, I go through the telephone book and do a mass mailing to attorneys. This has worked well for me.
Hi Delita:

What area of the country do you work in? I have tried the mass mailings to attorneys and I can't seem to get past the Legal Assistants at the office. Do you schedule an appointment with the attorney? I have sent out brochures then went and visited the law office a little while later and found that they did indeed get my brochure and kept it. I've been told I'm a good plan B. How do I get to be a Plan A? I also have an ad on Yellowpages.com. That, for right now, is where I am getting most of my business.
Where do you find the law blogs at Laurie?

Julia
I use postcards highlighting the cost saving benefits of using an outsourced legal assistant and also reminding them that outsourcing is not a new concept for law offices...
