Hi Susan,

Network Solutions is very reputable and have been in business for years so they are fine. It's really just a matter of preference, like anything else. Customer service varies from firm to firm as does pricing.

If you are comfortable than that is all that really matters.

If you want to learn more HTML the link Jason shared below to the WS3 school is very helpful.

There are also some very helpful tutorials on YouTube.com just go there and do a search for "HTML Tutorial" and see what you get back.

I'm very interested in learning more about HTML. I do have some basic knowledge and have built a few websites through Network Solutions. I have found Network Solutions to be easy to use and get everything set up with, along with a pretty affordable price. Am I missing the boat? This is really the only place I've been, but I'm most concerned about my site always being up and having the ability to modify it myself. I'd love to hear any feedback on Network Solutions.

Thanks Judy for the vote of confidence! I am certainly trying to learn all I can so I can handle all the changes, updates and things of that nature on my website. So, I will continue to learn and it has been fun!

Deb, Jason is right. If you know HTML, you'll be able to spot the glitches that make life, ummm, interesting. Like a missing character or one too many characters.

It was easy for me to learn HTML in that I used to use WordPerfect, and created many macros...and understood what the tags around words meant. If I can learn, so can you!

Here is a resource I used to get started. It allows you to practice HTML for free: http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_links.asp

HTML is the key to designing most of your own stuff. Start by trying to learn some of the HTML basics if you have not already.

Good morning to all of you. For someone that knows nothing about web design, is there any really good self taught courses or some sort of tutorials? I just had my web site built and I would really like to learn how to maintain it and make changes if need be. Thanks for your help and I am excited to be here and part of this group.
Deb :)
