I may have to put the tea in the thermos as I live down in Devon (nearly as far as you can get from Scotland in the UK)! I've been to Scotland on holiday - it really is a beautiful place. Whereabout is Kirkcaldy?
You have the honour of being the first person to join the group! I thought it would be good to have a meeting place. There are not that many people on the website from the UK but it seems as though we are growing. I've written to them too with an invitation.
It is great to be able to share our skills. My "proofreading" is basically just being another "pair of eyes" and I have the ability to pick up inconsistencies. If anyone body wanted any proper proofreading doing at least I have somewhere now to point them!

I thought you would like to know that I've just started a group called VAs in the UK! I know, not the most original title but I thought it would be a good place for us VAs in the UK to meet up and share our experiences, thoughts and ideas, and maybe clients if we got too busy (!)
Not many people seem to understand what a VA is in the UK (although we are a growing breed) so I tend to have to introduce myself as a "freelance Secretary"!
Come along to our Group - I'll put the kettle on for a nice cup of tea!!!
