If you work with Outlook at all, you'll want to know about Slipstick. I've worked with MS apps from the tech/helpdesk side for over a decade and still go there for answers sometimes.

Are you specifically trying to help your clients share their calendars with you? Explain a little more detail about who this is for, and how it should work, and I'll help sort it out.

There are lots of tools to connect Outlook and GMail. We moved completely off Outlook a year ago (just sold the server that used to house my Exchange server) and use exclusively GMail and Google apps nowadays.
