Hi Shannon,
I would suggest the very first thing you need to do is find out what sort of license you need for your county, city or state.

I only had to go through my county to register my business and it was very inexpensive, about $15.00 or so. Once you have that license, you can then set up a bank account in your companies name. Most banks require this before you can set up an account.

Do you have a domain name yet? If not, you might start thinking on what you want to call your business and start searching for domain names. Actually a good idea to do that before you apply for your license.

GoDaddy is probably one of the cheapest to obtain that. Also, you might want to have several varieties of your companies name in case the one you really want is not available.
