I am presenting at FoVA, possibly, IVAA, too. I wouldn't miss IVAA, if at all possible. Theirs usually includes a lot more for the money, just simply because it has an association behind it, and the attendance from a 'veteran' standpoint is a bit higher.
Barb Lang has done a fabulous job (this being her second FoVA Conference) in providing incredible value and presentations. Considering this is a labor of love for the industry of one woman, I find her to be incredible. I believe both are worth their weight in gold.
I updated my budget to be able to include both next year for the second time. Have you considered possibly doing a roommate at both, or finding other ways (just doing one or two days) to cut costs to allow you to attend both?
You may also want to check into IVAA's scholarship program - they used to (we initiated it when I was prez) have a program where volunteers had the opportunity to get a free registration, and I believe you could even apply for one...worth a look see! ;)
Hope to see you there!
Of course I remember you from the IVAA Summit - I don't know that Electra still considers me her mentor, but we still share a close relationship - one I truly treasure! ;)
Hope to see you in Montreal - you saving to go? ;)
