Discover virtual entrepreneurship by building a career using skills you already have.

Finishing up my Masters Degree and looking into how I can get my first client and build my business. Not sure how to accomplish this because I am starting to feel like it is a never ending endeavor that will not bring the fruit I need. So I know my blog post should be more about what I can do for you as a VA, but instead I am looking of feedback on how to start blogging as a VA, I have read lots of posts and blogs about how blogging will help to build your VA business, but what do VA's blog about that don't have very much experience?
So here is my reach out to this VA community,
What do VA's blog about?
How do you pick your topics?
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Howdy, Katherine! Sorry this say so long unanswered; I try to get through and find the orphan posts when I can.

It's a basic truth of selling the people buy from someone they know, like, trust. Telling them what you do, or how you do it—this won't help someone get to know you, to like you, to trust you.

Write about why you do what you do. Write about what gets you out of bed in the morning. Write about your personal emotional payoff from being a VA. Scare yourself with how personal you get. Be open and transparent and authentic, and people will connect emotionally.

Think about it: would you rather do business with an experienced VA with great credentials, but you didn't like them at all, or take a chance on someone with untested skills, but you trusted them?

Trust trumps talent, every single time. Get trust by being transparent and personal in your blog.

You get the added benefit that nobody, nobody, can possibly be better at writing about what you write about, because it's completely personal, unique to you.

Now, I'm not saying to share personal details, what you had for breakfast or the fight you had with so and so last night—unless there's a business lesson or a personal value in it. Don't be personal just for the sake of being personal; be personal for the sake of being a person so, y'know, they can know/like/trust you.
