Hey everyone!

We have been working and hacking away at code over here and are very, very excited to release some new features and functionality to our rapidly growing social network. These new features will begin "appearing" slowly during roll-out phase. Roll-out phase should only last a week or so and we plan to do it this week so stay tuned and pay attention!

Some of the new features include:

Member Ranking and Status.
Each activity you would normally participate in on our network has been categorized by:

Friend Count
Groups Joined
Discussions Started
Blogs Posted
Photos Uploaded
Videos Uploaded
Songs Uploaded
Events Started
Comments Made
Comments Received
Forum Posts
Invitations

Each category has a point value. We total up a member's points automatically and display an award graphic, a rank and point total in a cool 'slide-out' box. Clicking the trophy icon opens up your leaderboard where you can check the top 100 current ranking leaders. This will add a way to showcase your "status" within our community which could become a factor a prospective client might consider before hiring you.

Virtual Product Reviews: We all use a wide array of products and can recommend them until we are blue in the face. But when we looked at what really helps people make quality decisions it is being able to access quality, non-objective reviews from prior purchasers. So, we are going to build out a robust review section that will review all the stuff we use and talk about on a daily basis. We'll be able to rank our favorite products/services and help others make informed decisions.

Blog and Forum Post Rating System: We know that there is a lot of useful content on FindVirtual.com. But we also realize that sometimes it might be hard to find the really, really good stuff. So, we've worked on adding a 5 star rating system that will allow our members to rate the best content on the site using a 1-5 star method. This should help us all find content faster and gain additional credibility for the quality content we all produce.

Blog Organizer: Similar to Twitter we are adding a feature that will let us all "follow" the FindVirtual.com blogs/bloggers we like the most. Members can then create a tab within their profile page to read and check in on their bookmarked content.

Enhanced Profiles: We are still working on this and it has been the most time consuming. We plan on integrating a tool that will allow you to allow FindVirtual.com to "absorb" your Web site. Ideally, members will create sub-domains within FindVirtual.com and be able to house their entire Web site there if they choose to. So, I could start kelly.findvirtual.com and have my own site located there this way. This is ideal to get people to visit your site and content and should also enhance your Web site S.E.O as you will have a direct link from our network to yours.
