Greetings all,
It's been a while since I was last on the Find Virtual site and I must say....it looks different. Wow!!
As we glide from 2009 into 2010, thoughts of a new year and beginnings and planning and preparation come to mind.
Over the next few weeks, I'll connect with clients and drop off my "thank you" remembrances to them. The human contact is important. I'll make in-person visits to my local clients and video visits to clients and associates who are long-distant or international. Years ago, a former employer (a gentleman who was the consummate people personality and business person) instilled the message that the token of friendship and business services is minute compared to the wealth of communicating and connecting to stay in touch and on a similar wavelength.
A new advertising and marketing campaign begins for my company soon. While the search for new clients is good, keeping old clients around is just as important. Above all, I want happy clients, and clients with a drive to be successful, after all, their success is my success. The past year was spent learning and developing a business and educating myself on what it means to be a virtual professional versus being an employee. It was also a time to evaluate skills and interests to narrow my niche areas.
Marketing, social media, project planning, and quarterly growth tasks will be discussed. The ever-growing world of virtual events will be introduced to both current and prospective clients. The outcome for everyone will be to maximize the questions of "How do you want to grow in the new year?" and "What opportunities can we explore?"
What will you do client-related as you enter the new year? How do you relate or connect with clients? Does your company take a hiatus at December holiday time? Are you bombarded with lots of last-minute tasks or projects by clients on retainer? Are you already making plans with clients for developing and identifying or improving sources of activity? Upon reflection, 2009 was a good year but my goal for 2010 will be spectacular!
Please write back and share your thoughts.
Fondly,
J (JJ Hall)
