The Digital Sales Manager plays a leading role in driving our digital sales. The role is directly responsible for the training and development of our core reps in digital technology. Assisting them in building technology and industry expertise and accessing an array of cutting edge products, ensuring they deliver world-class business and digital solutions that enable our customers to become high performance businesses.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve aggressive growth goals for both existing and new advertisers. Provide training and development for the division to enhance their knowledge and skill level in order to see impact to the areas of increased sales, customer penetration and AVO.
- Train, develop and mentor sales executives with current and new customer sales call preparation and execution. This would include participating in both inside and outside sales calls to increase sales revenue, customer penetration and AVO, with a special emphasis on developing new business as it relates to digital penetration.
- Responsible for monitoring sales calls and providing coaching to sales reps to continually develop their internet sales skills and ensure proper sales techniques are being followed.
- Coaching activities include: demonstrating, role plays, and joint calls. Provide feedback and development plans to identify areas of strength and opportunity.
- Miscellaneous; other projects as assigned
Job Specifications:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
- 2-4 years successful Internet sales and/or yellow pages experience in the areas of on-line directories, search and websites
- Ability to train, coach and develop both sales reps and managers
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Winning collaborative attitude
- Excellent verbal, presentation, written, listening and interpersonal skills Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet tight deadlines
- Working knowledge of Black/White hat, HTML, metatags, HTTP, robot, link building, web factors, SEO/SEM and link forms
- Ability to travel 40%
