Jing: Quick and Easy App for Screen Captures

A quick demo of TechSmith's Jing for capturing screenshots and screencasts. Visit SmallBusinessIdeaGenerator.com for more cool tools. Just a note: Jing wasn't used to record the demo of itself, so please excuse the pixelly appearance created by an alternate screen capture app. :-)

Nice video Alyssa - I totally agree with you. I don't use Jing so much since I use Camtasia, but it is a great tool! Sometimes I get a client who wants to make a video, but doesn't have the time, expertise or desire to do the more advanced editing. So I recommend they download Jing and record the 'rough' video, send it to me and then I can edit it with callout, captions, transitions, etc. By listening and watching their Jing video, I get to learn much more quickly about their business application, and it saves time in creating their videos, which can also save them money.

I use the free version to record short WordPress tutorials; little 90-second movies on how to do one task.

Its default format (SWF) will play in any web browser so I can email a client a link to a Jing movie on our web server and they can watch it right in their browser.
